The night culminates in the unveiling of the Kitchen Band, made-up of participating chefs and mixologists led by honorary Chef Band Conductor, Chef Mike Isabella and backed by DC’s own, The Soul Crackers. The Kitchen Band also includes chefs Victor Albisu formerly of BLT Steak and Robert Weidmaier of Marcel’s and Brassierie Beck and mixologists Gina Chersevani of Hank’s Oyster Bar and Rachel Sergi of Jack Rose.

The Food Allergy Foundation was founded in 2011 by a group of food allergy sufferers, parents and dedicated educators, many of whom suffer from multiple food allergies as well as other atopic diseases, such as asthma, environmental allergies and eczema. The mission of the FAF is to eradicate food allergies, leading the charge on innovative research, fundraising, education and supplying of-the-minute information to the public on food allergy news.

The evening kicks off with silent and live auctions at 6:00 p.m.and guests will enjoy cocktails and cuisine from chef and mixology stations, all crafted with allergy-free in mind. The Food Allergy Foundation will award its Excellence in Food Allergy Awards for significant contributions to food allergy support, education, awareness, advocacy and research. At 8:30 p.m. the Kitchen Band will take center stage for its DC premier, led by “front man” Chef Mike Isabella followed by more music from the Soul Crackers and dancing until 10:30 p.m.
