Charleston Restaurant Week Returns

Who doesn’t love the idea of stimulating our local economy and our taste buds at the same time?  If that isn’t reason enough to take advantage of Charleston Restaurant Week, just look at the prices!

It’s time to rediscover why Charleston consistently ranks as one of the top dining destinations in the world! September 5 through 16 is the next installment of Charleston Restaurant Week, orchestrated by the Charleston Restaurant Association (CRA). The event offers diners prix fixe menus consisting of three items for $20, $30 or $40. This event has proven to be one of the most highly anticipated culinary events in the Charleston area. Currently there are over 120 restaurants participating, the highest number yet. Participating restaurants and their Restaurant Week menus are available to view on the CRA’s website. Many restaurants are still working on their menus and therefore may not be available on the site currently so be sure to check back often for updates.

The CRA also encourages diners to make reservations as early as possible. Over the past few installments of Charleston Restaurant Week, many restaurants were booked to capacity before the event started. Not all participating restaurants accept reservations but many provide access to a reservation link through the CRA website or diners can contact the restaurants directly.

“We’re glad to welcome so many new restaurants to Charleston Restaurant Week and we’re grateful for the continued support of the restaurants that participate every year,” said CRA Executive Director, Kathy Britzius. “Charleston Restaurant Week continues to gain momentum and we are so pleased at the success the restaurants have experienced since it began.”
