Goodwill of Greater Washington is hosting La Passione di Milano Runway Show & Gala at the Italian Embassy on Thursday, September 27. With a fashionably couture twist, this runway show will showcase quality vintage and contemporary fashions available at Goodwill Retail Stores by mixing Italian influence with contemporary dance.
Partnered with international fashion designer and creative consultant Tu-Anh, this runway show will be nothing short of spectacular. Tu-Anh will be directing, styling, coordinating and choreographing this one-of-a-kind event using the clothes and accessories pulled directly from the donations made to Goodwill.
Throughout this event, attendees will have the opportunity to shop fashionable Goodwill pieces at the pop-up shop. After the show, the fashions from the runway will also be on sale as well as the winning design of the DIY contest, “Be a DC Goodwill Fashion Designer.”
All proceeds raised through this fashion show will help Goodwill open a new retail store and donation center which will allow the company to employ more people and raise more money to support workforce development programs. Each Goodwill center provides job training and employment services to people with disabilities and disadvantages here in the Greater Washington, DC area.
