Wi-Fi Hot Dining Spots In Austin

For those that work at home, or just tend to need to catch up on work during the weekend and prefer to not work from home, there are a lot of options around Austin for wi-fi that aren’t limited to just coffee shops. Now, I do Love working at Austin Java with a couple breakfast tacos, but a few other options for a different feel and good food/drink include:

Rounders Pizza is one of the top three pizza places in Austin in my book. While going for lunch to test the wi-fi though, I felt the a pizza was a little too heavy, so I tried one of their calzones which was fantastic!  It’s made with a perfect pizza-like crispy crust and you can pick toppings from any of the 20+ offered on their regular pizza menu. Plus, it’s not too crowded for lunch, so it’s a nice to place to spend some quiet time catching up on work, listening to some of the great music selection and enjoying the fun, Vegas themed-décor.

While you might think of Ginger Man as a nighttime spot, it actually opens at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. on the weekends.  They introduced a few new food items on the menu a few months back including a French dip sandwich, pesto cheese sandwich and turkey cranberry sandwich. Not as lunch-y (and not new) but I think their spinach and artichoke dip is the best in town!  The pretty back courtyard is a great spot to catch up on work over a snack and some beer enjoying the day.

Peche is a great escape from the close-by downtown coffee shops for an adult beverage while catching up on work. Their absinthe cocktail is one of the most popular and they offer all-day happy hour on Sunday and Monday. Be sure to check their daily menu online as well (which you can visit while surfing the web there!).
