No need for those pots and pans during the week of August 13-19, 2012 as it is the 15th annual KRLD Restaurant Week presented by Central Market. This year, over 125 restaurants will be participating and serving a three course prix fixed menu selections for a mere $35, of which $7 of each dinner meal will be donated to help the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas, or the Lena Pope Home in Ft Worth.
Jan Pruitt, president and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank notes that, “This remains one of our most popular fundraisers since it enables diners to indulge their inner foodie and help others all in one seating.” We agree that “Giving back never tasted as good as it does each August.”
Every meal consumed during this fantastic local event enables the Food Bank to put food on the table of area children, families and seniors. It is no surprise that summer is the hungriest time of year for many in the community. Whatever your choice of cuisine, you are sure to find a restaurant participating in this annual event.
