Schuanne Cappel is a personal stylist and has her own company, Styled to Wear, based in New York, NY. She has loved fashion since she can remember. She would sneak Seventeen magazines into computer class in grade school--which is probably why she didn't learn to type properly until middle school--and later graduated to reading Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, W, Nylon, I-D, etc. Some time ago, she had a realization. She felt boxed in by the "cookie cutter" look and decided then and there that as a consumer she wanted more ownership of her presentation and believes it's not enough to just be a consumer. She took a firm stance to become a part of the creative process. With the encouragement of friends, tastemakers in their own right, she started consulting as a personal stylist for private clients. Her clients and public audience (Styled to Wear blog and social media presence) are impressed by her knowledge, talents, care and work ethic. They trust her because she excels at pairing garments for a polished look unique to her and she's done the same for scores of individuals with varying tastes and eccentricities. Her ability is a natural instinct in keeping with her artistic, creative side and she enjoys sharing her inclinations and expertise with women who wish to possess them for themselves.
