Monica Ceniceros Art Exhibit To Support Finding Freedom Through Friendship

When I experienced Manuel’s Regional Mexican Cooking, I met Monica Ceniceros, Marketing Director for Manuel’s, and she demonstrated excellent service for my very enjoyable visit to the restaurant. In my previous article covering Manuel’s, I clearly enjoyed the service Monica provided.

Not only does Monica work to serve the restaurant’s customers, she is also a talented artist. Monica discovered her love and passion for art when she was a young girl living in Monterrey, Mexico with her tightly knit family.

Later, Monica moved to the United States and continued her journey integrating her talent and began experimenting with new mediums and created an art style all her own. Monica’s pieces instantly create a calming feeling for the viewer mixing soothing colors and rolling, curved brush strokes which for me, relates to the same views and feelings I get when I am watching the waves rolling in over sand.  Monica intertwines her greatest inspirations in life: life, nature, culture and individuality into each of her unique pieces.

A percentage of the proceeds will go to Finding Freedom Through Friendship, an organization that meets the needs of single mothers and elderly women in the villages of northwestern Guatemala. There are food shortages recently due to the drought and there is a high rate of poverty, illiteracy and high birth rates.

The organization is proud to support the women of Guatemala by sharing knowledge, friendship and resources to lead them to self-reliance and sustainability.
