Huria Boutique In Atlanta’s Castleberry Hill

When it comes to fashion, shopping in Atlanta can sometimes be frustrating, as most retail stores seem to carry the same trend or style of clothing. I despise going to the mall, in fear that I if I bought an outfit, 50 other women in town would be wearing the same exact thing!

Huria Boutique is located in the arts district of the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, and is a great new addition to the installment of boutiques that cater to  sophisticated and trendy women!

Before being an actual retail store, Huria (meaning “freedom” in Swahili) was an online designer consignment store, where buying and selling vintage items was primary focus. Though the consignment piece is still present, Huria Boutique now focuses the store space on providing  custom-order apparel and trendy jewelry.

A cute, yet quaint, retail space, gives customers a feeling of being in their very own custom closet. The owner of the store, KaSondra McConnell, gives ladies the experience of being “personally styled”—taking the time to mix and match her boutique items so that no two customers feel they’re wearing her apparel the exact same way.

Price point easily sets Huria aside from other fashion boutiques here in Atlanta. “We offer apparel at affordable prices,” KaSondra shares, “something that Atlanta is completely missing. We also pay attention to trends and stock our store with what our customers want. If it isn’t in store, Huria will hunt for it, purchase and deliver it to our customers!”

Eventually, Huria will expand to offering shoes, UK/International designer lines and denim apparel. They are currently expanding services to traveling trunk shows, designer accessory rental and lay away programs.

Check out the experience first hand at their private launch event at the Ink! Studios location on August 24, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. Admission is free and guests get to preview and pre-order exclusive, fall collection pieces.
