Brandi Carlile To Grace Charleston’s Music Farm

Brandi Carlile, one of the greatest female singers of our time, in my opinion, will be gracing us with her presence on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Music Farm in downtown Charleston to promote her new album ‘Bear Creek’.

On stage with Brandi will be ‘The Twins,” Phil and Tim Hanseroth, who have been with her for over 10 years now, as well as Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra.  In addition to the songs we are familiar with thanks to radio play, such as “The Story” and “That Wasn’t Me,” are many other incredible songs. I have discovered so many amazing songs that have touched my heart, made me tap my feet and feel so compelled to belt out notes that I have no business attempting to sing. Every one of her songs makes me feel connected in some way or think about someone I know. They all tell their own story and are obviously not some cookie cutter money makers layed down solely to achieve success.

For me, the Patsy Cline meets Bonnie Raitt meets Susan Tedeschi “thing” she’s got going on is untouchable, and I am more excited about this concert than I have been about anything for a good while.  If you, your mom, dad, sister, brother, friend, bus driver, rabbi are anywhere around and care about your ears, you will be at this show. And if amazing music is not your thing, come to the show to do your humanitarian duty. One dollar from every ticket sold at each of Brandi’s concerts goes to The Looking Out Foundation, an organization she formed in 2008 to provide funds and resources to  organizations that support the arts, women, public health, the hungry and the homeless.
