Miss A Columnist

Ashley Craig may be Type A when it comes to her mainstay as an accountant, but Miss A brings out this A’s creative side. While pursuing her Masters in Accounting from the University of Washington, Ashley cultivated a passion for all things beautiful. As a result, you’ll find her talking about anything from the causes of the financial crisis to the best lip plumper. A native Seattleite and current resident of Bellevue, she adores exploring all the glitzy bars, cozy cafes, swanky shops and buzzing beauty salons the Seattle area has to offer. Her other interests include playing piano (she has dabbled in classical composition), techno music and chasing cute animals. If you have a Seattle charity or cultural event, restaurant, boutique, spa, or salon you would like covered on Miss A, please contact Ashley at ashleycraig.bap@gmail.com.

Six Strawberries To Serve Treats At West Elm Seattle This Saturday

As I peruse the many intriguing items offered on the West Elm website, I realize I’ve taken the safe route when it comes to décor.  Between the taupe color palate and lack of texture, my bedroom is about as unstimulating as it gets. Luckily, there is a way to make my room more interesting while getting treated at the same time.

Head over to the South Lake Union store this Saturday, August 4, for a free frozen treat from Seattle’s first artisan ice pops company, Six StrawberriesWhile you’re satisfying your sweet tooth, check out West Elm’s assortment of unique, inspired pieces perfect for livening up your home. I’m particularly a fan of their fierce new South African collection, which couples earthy tones with splashes of vibrant color and tantalizing textures.  A few of my favorites include the Potter’s Workshop Tableware, Source Kudu Table Lamp and Dining Chair by John Vogel.  With such beautiful pieces, it’s no wonder they’ve hit the 100,000 ‘Like’ threshold on Facebook.
