When art and wine come together the end result is a fantastic day all around. Add in great food and stellar live music and the day is more fun than one can possibly imagine.
The 2012 Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival on September 3, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. is going to be a fabulous time for all. This year’s Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival is being held to benefit the Kevin E. Reichardt Foundation and the St. Mary’s Alumni Association. For a small admission fee, attendees can sample various wines, indulge in great eats from local dining establishments, listen to some tunes and simply enjoy the day.
The Kevin E. Reichardt Foundation is an organization which promotes and furthers the academic and personal development of young men and women who are in keeping with the attributes of Kevin E. Reichardt. Another excellent organization, St. Mary’s Alumni Association, revolves around advancing the interest and promoting the welfare of St. Mary’s School as well as its alumni. The Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival proceeds will help to support these two excellent organizations.
In addition to helping two great causes, those who attend the Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival will have an outstanding day as well. Try sixteen different wines at the various tasting tables set up at the festival and indulge in various delicacies offered by a wide array of food vendors, including Blacksauce Kitchen and Relysh. Even if wine is not your drink of choice, there will be other great beverages available for the taking. There will also be live music by four different bands including Rob Levit and Amy Shook, Anna and the Growlers, The Greenbeets and the The Rovers. In between wine tasting, snacking on a wide variety of cuisine offerings and listening to live bands, attendees can take part in the wine pull and try to win a delicious bottle of wine to take with them at the end of the night.
Another large part of the Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival is, of course, the eye-catching artwork presented by a number of local and regional artists. In addition to displaying their pieces of artwork, these talented individuals will be on hand to discuss the stories behind each piece and let you know how you can obtain their unique artwork.
All in all, the Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival is an inclusive day outdoors where wine, food and art mesh together in a lovely collaboration all their own. Don’t miss out on this spectacular day of fun! Bring your close friends to Carroll Gardens on September 3, 2012 or make new ones at the Spa Creek Wine & Arts Festival.
