Goodwill of Greater Washington’s mission is to transform lives and communities through the power of education and employment. So you thought fashion and Goodwill didn’t go together, right? Think again.
Goodwill has partnered with Gensler, a leading global design and architecture firm, to design its first “pop-up” shop. Edited by Goodwill will be located in the Pepco Edison Place Art Gallery from August 1 through August 3, selling a great selection of vintage and contemporary fashions at bargain prices. You’ll find women’s and men’s clothing, handbags and shoes that have been selected by employees at their retail stores around the region. They will also be showing off “Faces of Goodwill” artwork by their own, David Amoroso.
The Fashion of Goodwill also provides virtual runway shows, look books, and other fashion-forward media, all featuring clothing and accessories straight from the Goodwill rack to the high-fashion runway. The DC Goodwill Fashionista Blog provides savvy and entertaining insight on vintage and contemporary style, Monday through Friday, with a unique focus on budget-conscious, eco-friendly fashion. Be sure to check out Tuesday’s “Goodwill Good Buy of the Week.”
