Zax Bar & Grill

I recently tried Zax Bar & Grill for the first time. I started with the bruschetta plate, which is perfect for sharing. The fun varieties include two white bean and prosciutto, two roma tomato and basil and two goat cheese and fig options. They were all so different yet so tasty, not sure if I could pick a favorite but I thought the prosciutto was especially tasty!

Then, I split the brick chicken and one of the signature pizzas with a friend. The chicken was nice, nothing too special, but I thought the polenta on the side was amazing. It was the perfect texture of creaminess without being too sweet. I would love to go back again just for a side of the polenta!

The pizza we shared was the caramelized onion, kalamata olives and goat cheese. It was really tasty and the flavors worked so well together without any being too powerful. The pizza was very filling, even without starting with an appetizer I would still say it’s a good shareable size.  Because ours had a lot going on as well, that probably made it a little more filling.

The décor is simple and tasteful inside but Zax has a hidden outside area that’s perfect for enjoying the weather on a nice day or a romantic meal any time of the year.
