Without Regrets, a local non-profit organization devoted to providing positive memories to families with a gravely ill parent, is celebrating its one year anniversary with a benefit concert. The organization is hosting a concert featuring three great bands at Threadgill’s on Saturday, July 28, 2012. The line-up includes the Eric Tessmer Band, The Soldier Thread and Vallejo. The concert starts at 9 p.m. with doors opening at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $20 at the door. One hundred percent of all event proceeds will go toward creating special experiences for families with minor children and a terminally ill parent.
“Treatment is hard on the whole family,” says Without Regrets co-founder Ché Heinroth. “Without Regrets helps parents create memories away from the dark reality of hospital visits and diagnoses, to leave a positive impact on a child.” The nonprofit organization provides funding and makes whatever arrangements are necessary to facilitate those memories, from a family portrait to visiting a parent’s hometown. With the community’s support, Without Regrets hopes to give many more families opportunities to create positive memories that last forever.
The anniversary benefit concert will be emceed by 93.7 KLBJ-FM’s DJ B-DOE. He’ll be sharing some heartwarming stories from the Without Regrets Foundation and then giving away two pairs of three-day Austin City Limits Music Festival passes to two lucky concert goers!
