Heads up, shoppers. Self-taught jewelry designer Alberto Parada will be in town this Friday and Saturday for his trunk show at Alvin Goldfarb Jewelers in Bellevue. It’s a treat: Parada launched his line in 2007 at the first Green Fashion Week, held in our very own Seattle. The designer’s best known for his sustainable fine jewelry (Vanessa Williams, Mila Jovovich and Jenny McCarthy are all fans); all of his pieces blend diamonds and brilliant semi-precious stones with various tones of 100 percent reclaimed 18K gold.
Styled with modern simplicity, his pieces all have an effortless elegance about them that’s timeless. The designer “transforms luxury jewelry by using reclaimed gold, ethically sourced gems, and conflict-free diamonds.” Translation? “Green-conscious individuals will be able to indulge in high-end jewelry without a guilty conscience.”
