TLC’s What Not To Wear’s Nick Arrojo’s Hair Product Line

I will be the first to admit that my hair needed some serious TLC recently. Just for a little background, my hair is extremely long, nearly to my waist, and, depending on the Florida humidity, either curly or wavy. I’m constantly looking for products for my  hair that help tame the frizz while not weighing it down, and my usual Moroccan Oil just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

I’ve recently tried four products by Nick Arrojo, master hairstylist from TLC’s What Not To Wear. I was very pleased with the results I noticed on my usually-frizzy mane, and here is what I thought of the products.

1.) Arrojo Product: Frizz Control (4.2 FL OZ – $16, available HERE)
I need all the help with frizz that I can get, especially those days when the temperature gets over 100 degrees! This product adds a beautiful, healthy sheen to my hair. I combed the Frizz Control cream into my hair when I got out of the shower and my hair was still damp. I really love the way this smells and untangles my unruly hair.

2.) Arrojo Product: Set & Style Spray (4.2 FL OZ – $16, available HERE)
I used the Set & Style Spray on days when I wanted to blow my hair out for a straight, sleek finish. Just like the Frizz Control cream, it smells amazing! What I really liked about this product was that it didn’t make my hair tough or crunchy, which other sprays have been known to do. My hair remained straight and soft for the entire work day, and I did not notice any fly-aways around my face, which is extremely common for me.

3.) Arrojo Product: Curl Enhancer (5.1 FL OZ – $19, available HERE)
This was my absolute favorite product of all four Nick Arrojo products I tried. The Curl Enhancer is amazing! It’s incredibly rich in texture without weighing my curls down. The newest in the Arrojo Product line, the Curl Enhancer shaped my curls and defined them without me even having to follow up with my usual curling iron routine. I applied it to damp hair right out of the shower, and just did a little scrunching to preserve the curl. My hair didn’t feel dry at all, and I did not need to use any hairspray to lock in the curl. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with hair that can border on wavy/curly, because it will provide a beautiful texture and shine to your curls. I’ve been using this product every day, except for days when I blow my hair out straight with the Set & Style Spray. Ten thumbs up for the Arrojo Product Curl Enhancer!

4.)  Arrojo Product: Styling Whip (5.5 FL OZ – $18, available HERE)

This is another product from the Arrojo line I really enjoyed. The Styling Whip is made with nutritious argan oil, which naturally tames hair. This product has the texture of a mousse, without all the drying ingredients. I liked to use the Styling Whip to add volume around the crown of my head, which it did beautifully. Since my hair is so long and heavy, it can lose volume quickly, but the Styling Whip ,paired with a bit of the Set & Style Spray, kept my hairstyle looking amazing all day. No falling flat! I would recommend this to anyone with extremely long, heavy hair like mine that tends to fall flat after a few hours. Just a little bit of Styling Whip around the crown of your head, and you will be good to go!

Of the four Arrojo Products I’ve tested, the Curl Enhancer and Styling Whip were the strongest, in my opinion. They are two products I will most definitely be repurchasing when they run out. As someone who has used pretty much every product on the market when it comes to hair and beauty, I was very, very pleased with Nick Arrojo’s line of styling products. They all smell great and truly moisturize without adding too much build-up to my hair.
