iS Clinical Fire & Ice Facial

iSClinical‘s “Fire & Ice Facial” is frequently used by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Evangeline Lily and Gywenth Paltrow, who all have stunning complexions. This facial is famous for its instant brightening, smoothing and softening of the skin.  iSClinical is a cosmeceutical clinical skincare brand that has designed this facial to resurface the skin, without the use of any chemical peels.

I had the fantastic opportunity to receive this treatment at a spa located in Northern Virginia, Vitalia Medspa, but it is available nationwide. What I came to learn was that this facial is different than your standard facial and that, unlike a facial where the esthetician uses steam to open your pores, the iS Clinical products do all the work on your skin. I was also told that the facial can be performed on all skin types, unless you are using any types of retinols.

The facial begins with the “fire” which is an Intensive Resurfacing Mask. It has a cinnamon scent and tingles a little on your face as it begins to work. My esthetician, Homa, explained that the mask has glycolic acid, retinol and vitamin B3 which will boost collagen production and remove any dry dead skin from the surface. After the mask has been on for a few minutes, any left-over is removed and then the Rejuvenating Mask “ice” is applied. “Ice” is cool and soothing and contains hyaluronic acid, aloe vera gel, and herbal extracts. The scent of this mask is a cool peppermint and it’s left on to soothe the skin for about 10 minutes.

After the “Fire and Ice” masks, I was treated to the youth eye complex under my eyes to help reduce wrinkles and under eye puffiness along with a moisturizing sunscreen (as I was going to be on my way back out into the heat of summer).

I was then able to look at my skin and I did notice an immediate improvement of my complexion. When I had first arrived at Vitalia, I had told Homa that my skin was peeling and flaking in some areas and that others were oily–a true combination complexion that looked a little dull. The improvements that I noticed were that my skin looked refreshed and brighter, along with the removal of my top layer so my skin was smoother to the touch. While some may notice a mild redness the first hour after treatment, I did not have any trouble at all.

The spa sent me home with iS Clinical products which have exceeded my expectations when it comes to cleansing and moisturizing my skin. The “Fire & Ice Facial” is available to everyone, not just celebrities and not just those living in LA. iS Clinical is in spas all over the country sharing their products and giving women glowing skin.

Check in your area to experience a smoother you.
