Firefly Music Festival is coming to Dover, Del. this upcoming weekend from Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22. This three-day music festival is featuring a headlining band each evening with Jack White playing on Friday night, The Killers on Saturday night and The Black Keys on Sunday night. The official schedule boasts over 40 bands spread out over the three days.
Red Frog Events is hosting the festival at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway. A percentage of the profits from all ticket sales will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The three-day passes have been sold out for a couple months now, but day passes are still available starting at $68 for Friday and $88 for Saturday and Sunday.
Live in New York, Philly, Baltimore, Washington DC or anywhere in between? The Rock & Bus is available to pick up you and your friends and drive you to the festival in luxury motor coach style.
Feel like staying over and camping’s not your idea of fun? Try Glamping, or glamorous camping, which is like a luxury hotel room arranged under a safari tent. You’ll have all the comforts of home with a double or queen size bed, night stand, luggage stand and an outside table and chairs. Includes access to an air conditioned lounge that offers a breakfast buffet and late night snacks, live entertainment, lounge seating and a cash bar, as well as air conditioned private bathrooms and shower trailers only for glampers.
If you’re hanging around waiting for your favorite band to take stage, there are plenty of activities to occupy your time. There will be hot air balloon rides and a TOMS tent with local artists ready to customize your favorite canvas TOMS shoes for only $64. There will be an Interactive Art Gallery where you can make your own photo flip-book or customize rustic oak windows with your words, paintings and drawings.
And what would a festival be without food and drinks? For your eating and drinking pleasure there will be higher-end pop up restaurants serving everything from Sweet Tooth’s ice cream, Salúd’s mexican fare, grown up comfort food from The New Kitchen to Italian food, burgers, and an Asian bistro.
Delaware’s Dogfish Head Craft Brewery will have an air conditioned lounge where they’ll be serving several varieties of their award winning bear. “Firefly Ale”, a special Pal Ale which was specially created and brewed by Dogfish Head for Firefly, will be sold exclusively at the festival this weekend!
Wish you could be strolling through the vineyards of Napa Valley sipping on local wines? Welcome to Napa Valley East. The Vineyard is Firefly’s on-site wine bar serving a wide variety of local area wines.
