The Fabulous ZaSpa At Hotel Zaza Dallas

One Thursday morning, I decided to treat myself to some much need relaxation at a spa. Just like you, at times I’m a tired, busy lady who never takes enough time for myself. I was in dire need of some serious skin rehab and a frou-frou rose-petal soak wasn’t going to cut it. Instead, I booked the Fatal Charms Body Cocoon at the ZaSpa at Hotel ZaZa in Dallas. One word, fantastic! It was so peaceful that I kept forgetting that there was a busy street below me.

Once inside, I was shown to my changing room and given a luxurious robe with the most comfy slippers. I felt like my feet were walking on little clouds of pillows. Then I was wisked away to private quarters, where Janet, the massage therapist, took great care of me. There are some things that are truly priceless, like the look on my face when the therapist told me to do the most difficult thing lately–relax (relax?).  My eyebrows stayed raised as Janet, my therapist, slathered me with a pungent mix of freshly grated salt rubs and detoxifying oils. The ZaSpa experts have a way of getting even the most stubborn of women to let their hair down and let them do the heavy lifting.

The treatment included a blissful scalp rub, which served to adjust my attitude,  a full body exfoliation with an alpha and beta hydroxy peeling gel, a hot stone steam wrap to infuse my skin with a decadent vitamin E based body oil that was lushly scented with palmarosa, vanilla and cedar. The treatment also included a Swedish massage and an anti-stress facial mask and massage. The 80-minute treatment officially raised my spirits and was worth every penny.

During the treatment, I found myself relaxing and putting down my ever-present to-do list. As the session came to an end, my skin was so soft and limber and my smile was the widest it’s been in ages.

Looking for a stronger massage? Then partner any of the ZaSpa’s treatments with the Aromatherapy Associates line and it will surely do the trick. The line is rich in precious essential oils and active botanical extracts and carefully formulated to enhance a natural radiance from the inside out.

Whether you are stressed or just looking for a girlfriends’ getaway and don’t have time to leave the city, the ZaSpa should be on your list of new escapes from the busy world. I was also very impressed to learn that on the ZaSpa facebook page you can find specials regularly. I love saving money when every I can.

While there, I learned about a local company that I am in love with and wanted to share the details. Farmhouse Fresh, a local company from Frisco, Texas, came highly recommend by the spa staff and has the Oprah stamp of approval.

Their products are made of the freshest ingredients from the local farms. I was worried the Honey Hazel Glaze ($26) would be sticky

and messy, instead it reminded me of honey with out all the mess. The Fluffy Bunny Shea Butter Cream ($18), which is paraben and sulfate free, was one of my favorites. Most of their products get the vegan stamp of approval and make great gifts. Farmhouse Fresh products can be purchased at the hotel or by visiting their website.
