Czar Ice Bar definitely lives up to its cool reputation as a one of a kind experience that allows for a much needed break from the Atlanta heat. Czar Ice Bar is the first ice bar to frost the city with over 300 exotic varieties of vodka and an upscale ambiance that is anything but frigid. On June 26th, I had the pleasure of experiencing Czar Ice Bar’s Media Tasting that showcased great sushi and tasteful concoctions. Seating around 75 people inside, the space sets the mood of refine elegance with chandeliers dripping with crystals and rich decor fit for a Russian princess. Hand painted tiles illuminate the ceiling with many shades of blue, resembling the interior of an ice palace. Guests can choose to mingle in the European seating sections, dine at tables, pull up to the ice and sushi bars or hang out on the patio.

Behind the 4” thick and 27’ foot long solid ice bar is the mecca of vodka brands. The vodka filled shelves are truly a woman’s dream come true. Fourteen house-made vodka infusions complete this paradise with flavors ranging from cherry to toasty coconut to even cucumber that are served in ice blocks as shots or mixed in a cocktail or martini. I started out the night with one of their famous cocktails, the Lychee Berry Martini, a berry infused vodka drink garnished with a strawberry. Needless to say, I ordered it again the second time around as it was purely divine.
The food is a piece of artwork in itself. The artist behind these sushi masterpieces is Master Chef Saito Saito, a man that truly understands the importance of presentation and good taste. Chef Saito is one of only a handful of exclusive “Master Chefs” in the United States and is the creator of Czar Ice Bar’s incredible sushi menu. As each plate arrived, it was as bold in color as decorated effectively with sauces on the plate. My favorite was the Mango Roll as well as the Oh My God Roll that lived up to its name. Once you taste this delicacy, you too will be yelling “Oh my God!”

Located in Buckhead’s Andrews Entertainment District as one of the eight distinct venues, Czar Ice Bar is truly the place to go for a tasty lunch or sophisticated night out. A cool vibe and a unique theme sets this bar apart from its competitors. Czar Ice Bar is the perfect hot spot to feel glamorous while enjoying great sushi and drinks.
