On July 14-15, 50 Hall of Famers will descend on Lansdowne Resort for a weekend of golf for the Bobby Mitchell Autotrader.com Hall of Fame Golf Classic, presented by Enterprise rent-a-car, and the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees Jack Butler, Dermontti Dawson, Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy and Willie Roaf will join tournament mainstays Darrell Green, Larry Little, Oscar Robertson and Sonny Jurgensen for Bobby’s final year as event chair.

Created in 1988, the Bobby Mitchell Hall of Fame Golf Classic has raised more than $7 million for the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

Tournament guests will have the opportunity to meet Julianna Nicholson, a six-year-old leukemia survivor whose energy and resilence has shone throughout her diagnosis and treatment. Julianna and her family will attend all weekend events, including Friday’s media and sponsor luncheon, Saturday’s banquet and awards dinner, and the main event – Sunday’s tournament round. The public may participate in the gallery at Sunday’s Golf Classic for a $5 donation to LLS. Also available are raffle tickets for a 2012 Scion tC, donated by DARCARS. The raffle winner will be drawn at Saturday’s banquet.
