The limited engagement run of the show in Chicago first premired in Australia and New Zealand to rave reviews.   Audience members were wowed by the visual effects and Chicagoans will be, too. The 23 dragons are from the team that created the production Walking with Dinosaurs. The dragons are so life-like ( with wingspans of 40+ feet) that the audience will feel that they’ve been transported back to medieval times of Vikings and dragons. Children and adults alike will be captivated by the special effects, acrobatics, and pyrotechnics featured in the show.

Aside from the 3-D dragons and impressive stunts, there’s a great story at the heart of the production. The premise of the live show is very faithful to the movie version.  Dragon tells the story of Hiccup, a teenage Viking who’s supposed to be a warrior who slays dragons. However, he learns to get along with dragons instead of slaying them. The cast features Riley Miner as Hiccup along with other up-and-coming actors who give outstanding performances.  The show is only in town for one week, so fans should catch the show while they can.Families will not only gasp at the spectacle, but will laugh at the enjoyable How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular.
