We’re in the midst of summer get-together and wedding season, and “yummy new drink options” may just be topping your “To Do” list. Lucky for us, Total Wine & More is opening its doors this Thursday, June 28, in Bellevue and partnering with Bellevue Arts Museum (partnering efforts announced in July, so check back then). With low prices and a huge selection, it’s a one-stop shop.
The 30,000 square-foot space is the only of its kind to open in Washington and “will carry the largest stock of Washington state offerings around, including 1,450 wines, 55 distilled spirits and more than 190 beers.” Plus, “the special ‘Brewery District’ of the store will include a Growler filling station with 12 local craft beers on tap.”
With the recent expansion of alcohol options in Washington state grocery stores, what sets Total Wine & More apart? For me, shopping for any type of alcohol can be overwhelming; not only are the shopping spaces usually cold and lackluster, I also don’t know a ton about my options (just give me a nice glass of red and call it a day). I often have a hard time deciding what I need, depending on the meal or event I’m planning. Enter the education factor. Total Wine & More features a tasting classroom that’s open for use by the community, wine tasting bar with computer tablets that help customers pair wines with food, and a walk-in humidor for fine cigars and gifts. How cool is that?
With more than 80 stores around the country, Total Wine & More’s celebrating its latest store opening with grand opening activities throughout the weekend, including wine and beer tastings, giveaways and live entertainment.
