Ghirardelli Square is hosting their Third Annual KidsBash on Saturday, June 30, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The KidsBash is a street fair for families, with fun activities geared toward children ages 10 and under. Ghirardelli Square’s management team plans the bash a year in advance, and partners with a different nonprofit every year to make it a truly community-focused event. This year’s nonprofit is Help A Mother Out, an organization which collects diapers to disperse to families in need through homeless shelters, WIC, and other establishments.
Adults will enjoy the free Zumba Atomic Demos by Step It Up Dance & Fitness at 12:30 p.m., Music and Movement by Palersize Adventures In Fitness and James Henry at 2:30 p.m. Also, Mister Q, a credentialed music teacher who educates through song, will be performing at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Adults can enjoy the festival for free, but need to buy a ticket ($20) for their child to be able to participate in the extra fun activities like riding the train, face painting, rock climbing, and bouncy house jumps. Hello Kitty will make a KidsBash appearance, along with the San Francisco Fire Department, too! Be sure to arrive early to find parking and get in line for the train ride or face painting as they get packed quickly. Visit the event schedule Online, here, to plan out your day.
Event coordinators are offering a discount of $5 if you make a virtual donation (minimum $10) to Help A Mother Out when buying your ticket(s). You can also donate to Help A Mother Out in-person at their booth the day of the event, or donate your time by volunteering at the event.
