Nashville is the next stop for famous, celebrity-loved Barry’s Bootcamp gym. The franchise’s largest location yet is set to open in the Gulch this Saturday, June 23. The Hollywood-based fitness studio has locations in California, New York City, the Hamptons and in Norway already. Founded by Barry Jay back in 1998, Barry’s Bootcamp combines “drill sergeant tactics” with a night club party atmosphere and has been dubbed “The Best Workout in the World.” Barry’s customers include celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Alison Sweeney, Katie Couric, Jake Gylanhaal, Stacy Keiblerand a slew of professional athletes and A-List celebrities.
Each class at Barry’s Bootcamp lasts one hour and consists of 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training. The interval training workout regiment is meant to shock the body by combining a difficult treadmill work with free weight exercises that target specific muscle groups. Monday through Friday, the fitness studio will offer classes focused on an area of the body. On weekends, the classes will be a full body workout and are said to have you burning 1,000 calories. To celebrate its grand opening, the Nashville Barry’s Bootcamp is offering free classes this Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24. The new Nashville Barry’s location in the Gulch spans more than 4,200 square-feet and will feature:
