Newsbabes Bash For Breast Cancer At Howard Theater

The DC ladies of the news will be gathering on Tuesday, June 19th at the legendary Howard Theater for the Newsbabes Bash for Breast CancerThose of the masculine sex are invited as well, because the Newsmen in Pink, the venerable men of Newsbabes DC media will also be on hand. These news gods and goddesses will be joined by breast cancer survivors, politicos, and business leaders.
Newsbabes was founded in 2009 by a group of women in the TV news industry, Anita Brikman, Pamela Brown, Rebecca Cooper, Laura Evans, Lesli Foster, Doreen Gentzler, Angie Goff, Jennifer Griffin, Hillary Howard, Brianna Keilar, Sue Palka, Andrea Roane, Cynne’ Simpson, Alison Starling, Shawn Yancy and Eun Yang, who decided to come together to raise awareness and money for breast cancer causes.

Both the NewsBabes and Newsmen in Pink encourage you to dress in your finest pink and be prepared to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a pink dessert bar by Georgetown Cupcake, Dolci Gelati, and Sweet Signature. There will be music by DC 101′s Flounder and a lot of mixing and mingling. Ticket sales on in progress and the $75 will benefit George Washington University Mammogram.  The money will help provide free screenings for women in need.

And, if you haven’t yet stepped foot into the newly restored historic Howard Theatre, attending this year’s Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer is a great excuse to do so.
