Verniero Pasticceria And Caffe

A few weeks ago it was my best friend’s birthday, and I was stumped as to where to buy her a cake that was guaranteed to satisfy. New York City is abundant with amazing pastry shops and cafés, but I have yet to come across one that guarantees delight in each one of its dishes. Then a friend recommended Veniero’s Pasticceria and Caffé, and trust me, no pastry shop in this city can come even close to this family owned Caffé, which unswervingly lives up to it’s title as “New York City’s Best Dessert Place.”

Located on 342 E. 11th Street, Veniero’s is a quaint little Italian store where one can go to relax and eat some of the best desserts they have ever tasted. It is one of the East Village’s most renowned locations and has been gracing the people of this city with its delicious creations since 1894. The Chocolate Mousse Cake is sinful and the Italian Cheesecake is one in a million. Veniero’s also offers other delicious treats like Cannoli, Gelato, Fruit Tarts and striking Espresso’s and Cappuccino’s. While there you have the option of being seated in their café area or you can take your food to go. If you don’t have time you can also make an online delivery.

Be cautious, however, because Veniero’s is such an amazing place, the lines there can often get a bit long and you will have to wait for a while. But the food there is definitely worth it and is guaranteed to not only satisfy your stomach but bring a smile to your face.
