Dole’s Shake It Up Tour To Benefit The Boys & Girls Clubs Of Hollywood

This year, Dole is celebrating healthy lifestyles and encouraging kids and families to do the same. Kids are especially at risk for making unhealthy food choices in the summer, when snacking is at an all-time high. Through its partnership with eight local Boys & Girls Club chapters, Dole’s road trip will help provide healthy snacks to kids during the summer, with the ultimate goal of donating 100,000 items to the clubs supported during the tour. In Los Angeles, the product donations will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood.

As part of their pledge, they have begun an eight-city tour across the country including: New York, Boston, Baltimore, Charlotte, Atlanta, Austin, San Francisco and of course, Los Angeles.  The tour began in New York on May 16th and has already been to several cities. On June 9th, The Grove will come alive with people shaking it up as Dole makes its stop in LA. Attendees will be able to “shake” their way through Latin-inspired dance classes with the Boys & Girls Club kids, and interact with Bobby Banana, Dole’s mascot. There will be all sorts of smoothies and frozen fruit to enjoy!

In each city, including Los Angeles, Dole has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs to provide them with healthy snacks with the goal of donating over 100,000 items. For every sample they give out, LA branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs will receive one product for a kid.
