Rebekkah Adams grew up in Ithaca, New York with one younger brother, two artistic parents and two lovable dogs. Starting from early childhood, she has taken an interest in music, travelling and writing. She attended college at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a degree in Radio-Television-Film and a degree in English. She has since worked in film, advertising, PR and as a freelance writer and editor. When not writing articles, she spends her time singing, shopping and working on fiction pieces. Blondes vs Brunettes In Austin To Benefit The Alzheimer’s Association

On Friday June 8th, the rivalry that has existed through the ages will once again come to life. Blondes vs Brunettes flag football will kick off at House Park Field and the competition will be fierce. Founded in part by Miss A’s own Andrea Rodgers in 2005, the tradition continues right here in the ATX. The game is benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association and will help raise awareness, fund care and aid in researching this deadly disease. Since 2005, Blondes vs Brunettes has expanded into six cities in addition to Austin and has raised over 2 million dollars to fight Alzheimer’s. a fun and interactive way to raise awareness and, whether participant or spectator, this is not an event to miss. For $25, you can join in and watch the game in Austin to determine which side is truly the fairest. The ancient rivals will be split, Blondes on one side, Brunettes on the other (redheads can pick a team) and yet all will be united in a common cause to end Alzheimer’s disease.
