Spandana Singh better known as Spandi, is a high school senior who has an avid passion for journalism. Originally from India, she has so far lived in countries like Kenya, Italy, Ethiopia, The United States and Indonesia and looks forward to living in many more.

While not busy with the IB Program, Spandi loves to play the piano, dance, explore new cultures (especially their cuisines) and spend time with her friends and her two turtles.

As she gets older she hopes to pursue a double major in international relations and journalism and by the time she is thirty wants to have lived in every continent in the world, (except for Antarctica).

Summer Events At Bryant Park In New York City

When people hear Bryant Park they typically think of NY Fashion Week. However, in the winter Bryant Park is one of the best places to go to go ice skating and enjoy a day out with your friends, but just because summer’s drawing closer doesn’t mean that’s changed. There are a handful of fascinating things to do there this summer that will allow you to experience new things and develop old skills.

If you’re on your way home after a long day of work, why not stop by for one of the Bryant Park After Work sessions starting in June on Wednesday evenings that feature a variety of soothing but vivacious musical groups.

If you prefer to do something active, why not join one of the free fencing classes, yoga classes, tai chi classes and even fly fishing and juggling classes, if not don’t worry there are also free French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese language learning classes hosted by inlingua, free knitting classes, readings by authors and poets, and to top it all off the glorious HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival which will feature classic movies like Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, The Wizard of Oz, Roman Holiday and Rebel Without a Cause.

So be sure to stop by Bryant Park sometime during this fabulous summer, you are guaranteed to find something exciting and different to do.
