Taking place on Saturday, June 2nd and June 3rd, Virginia-Highland Summerfest a festival where good food, rockin’ music, and great art are all found in one place.
This year’s Summerfest 2012 will feature a range of activities for adults and children as well as an artist market and music stage. The artist market will feature great art eye candy from more than 220 artists from all over the Southeast. Whether you are into paintings, sculptures, jewelry, or even photography, the market offers it all assuring there will be something that appeals to your artistic taste buds.

For all you health nuts out there, the festival will also feature the Summerfest 5k. The race will feature 1,000 runners winding their way through the neighborhood streets of Virginia-Highland. Following the 5k, children aged 5 and under can make their way to the finish line in this year’s Tot Trot where prizes will be given to each participant. The 92.9 Dave FM music stage, located at Virgina Avenue and Greencove, will help set the mood with live music performed by a variety of renowned local musicians as well as some acclaimed singer songwriters. Let’s not forget the best part of any festival, the food! Summerfest will feature a range of mouth watering treats from an array of festival vendors and local restaurants. A variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks will also be available to help quinch your thirst. So mark your calendar and make plans to attend this event that is fun for the whole family!
