Vitamin A Swimwear launched their second-ever Green Bikini Collection! Like last year’s debut collection, all of the gorgeous “green” styles are made with an eco-luxe matte jersey comprised of 100% recycled nylon fibers. The fibers are made from what would have been waste from landfills, and with this renewable design concept, Vitamin A Swimwear is redefining the meaning of “eco-logic.”
For her second Green Bikini Collection, designer, Amahlia Stevens, decided to expand the line and has incorporated some of the brand’s best-selling silhouettes, such as their coveted Wrap Top and Superstar Bottom. Although the fabric is slightly different, all of the eco-chic styles feature that signature Vitamin A Swimwear look, fit, and feel. Not only is the new line becoming a favorite among the brand’s loyal following, but it is also attracting “green” fashionistas and A-list celebrities like Rihanna!
As a California native (she calls Laguna Beach home) Amahlia Stevens is without a doubt inspired and influenced by the gorgeous Southern California coastline. She knew she had to do something to protect her home so she took it upon herself to team up with Heal The Bay, a nonprofit environmental organization that works to protect and improve Southern California’s coastal waters, beaches, and watersheds.
Like last year, a portion of all the proceeds from the 2012 Vitamin A Green Bikini Collection will be donated to the organization. Furthermore, every bikini from Vitamin A is produced right there in California! The new “green” collection from Vitamin A Swimwear is eco-chic, totally guilt-free, and just waiting for you to try out! Have you had your vitamins yet?
