DOLE’s Shake It Up! Summer Tour is coming to Baltimore on Tuesday, May 22nd, for an event hosted at the Park Heights Boys & Girls Club. The Shake It Up! Summer Tour is an eight-city sampling tour across the United States to help families find fun ways to choose more nutritious snacks and share in an exciting and upbeat fitness activity together during the summer. DOLE is taking two new products made with all-natural frozen fruit—DOLE Fruit Smoothie Shakers® and DOLE Frozen Fruit Single-serve Cups, and hitting the road, to bring frozen fun and fitness to families across America.

Kids are especially at risk for making unhealthy food choices in the summer, when snacking is at an all-time high. Through its partnership with eight local Boys & Girls Club chapters, DOLE’s road trip will help provide healthy snacks to kids during the summer, with the ultimate goal of donating 100,000 items to the clubs supported during the tour. In Baltimore, the product donations will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore.

The Baltimore tour stop will have fun Latin inspired dance classes with the Dole mascot, Bobby Banana, participating in with the children of the Boys & Girls Club.

In each of the eight cities, DOLE will donate one healthy snack for every sample distributed at these events to the local Boys & Girls Club chapters. Visitors to the Dole Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/Dolecan also donate eight items (one to each club) for every click on the DOLE Shake It Up! Summer Tour tab.
