Review Of Blueprint Cleanse In NYC

When I heard the idea of drinking only juice for 3 days, I thought it was crazy. Although I eat healthy and exercise consistently, I’ll be the first to admit I love food. However, the popularity of the juice cleanse started to spread in offices and conversations with friends. Those who went on one, went back on another a few months later, and became adapted to the “Juice Cleansing” Lifestyle. They raved about the health benefits. I decided to take the plunge and try one of NYC’s biggest health trends.

Blueprint Cleanse is one of the most famous cleanse brands in NYC. Their message is “drink fresh juice, eat real food, & get back into your skinny jeans”. It promises to “gently rid the body of impurities, regain an alkaline balance, and normalize digestion and metabolism”.

Blueprint Cleanse is the first line of juice cleanses that offers varying levels of intensity depending on one’s dietary habits and history. Founded in 2007, Blueprint dedicates its brand to creating juices from the finest raw food ingredients. The Cleanses are available in three assortments: Renovation, Foundation, and Excavation Levels. The main difference between the three levels corresponds to how many green juices compared to fruit juices you are given per day. As one who consistently eats healthy and exercises, I chose the 3 Day Foundation Cleanse.

Below is my diary of the 3 day Blueprint Foundation Cleanse:

Day 1-Started the day out with hot water and then ½ cup of green tea. First drink on the menu is Green Juice. I tasted the cucumber more than anything. Not too sweet, which I appreciated. I was surprised for a green juice filled with vegetables at the light taste to it.

10:00am P.A.M Juice-Juice #2-Pineapple, Apple, mint- I noticed that there were more calories in this drink than the green juice. Very tasty! Refreshing and sugary. Much needed since I started to feel slightly tired around 11:00am.

Lunch time-Green Juice again! With a cup of green tea, felt more energized and ready to take on the day.

4pm-Spicy Lemonade-I really enjoyed this drink. The rotation of a juice between the vegetable Green Juices is a nice break. It’s light and sugary with the heat at the end of the cayenne pepper. It was very hydrating and refreshing. Also noticed my metabolism was boosted while I was not hungry.

6pm-Green Juice again! I can see that this might get repetitive. Still a fan! Had a large green tea and water with this. Trying to make my juices last.

8pm-Cashew Milk. The last juice of the day is well worth the wait! After drinking light and fruit/vegetable drinks, this last juice felt like I was cheating. Creamy with a warm cinnamon taste, it reminded me of a vanilla milkshake. Well worth the motivation to keep going.

Day 2-Woke up feeling energized and great! Went to the gym and feel better than I have in weeks.

Day 3-Lost overall 5 pounds. Feeling motivated and slightly sad it’s the last day. Thinking of doing a 5 day cleanse next time.

Overall Feedback:

Favorite Juice Drink: Cashew Milk (Tasted like a Milkshake!)

Did you exercise? (yes/no) Two out of three days I did 45 minutes of cardo.

Least favorite Juice Drink (why): Green Juice. I enjoyed it, but drinking 3 of the same juice a day for three days became tiresome.

Would you do a cleanse again? Absolutely! Would even do the next level cleanse or a 5 day cleanse. I felt great, lost a few pounds, and had more energy than I have had in weeks!

Would you purchase the additional products you bought at Blue Print again? Yes. They offer buying the juices in single servings as well as other cleanses and think I would buy a few to replace with midday snacks/a meal.

Overall thoughts: The cleanse was a great experience. It was equally as challenging as it was rewarding. I would definitely do another cleanse. I loved the e-mails from the Blueprint team before and after my cleanse. They sent one on how to prepare for the cleanse to avoid a hard transition, and the post e-mail helped with not going immediately back into old habits.

End results of cleanse: (how did you feel? Did you notice a difference in your body/your energy levels/your take on food)

Although hungry at first, I had a great experience with the cleanse. The five and a half pounds that I lost came back on within a week of eating a normal, healthful diet. I have a greater appreciation for food portions, as I now know mentally I can survive off three days of juice!

We would like to thank Blueprint Cleanse for their help with this article.
