Restaurant Options For Mother’s Day In Washington, DC

Mother’s Day is nearly here and Mom is looking forward to a day out! Here are some ideas and special  events for celebrating in the city.

If you are looking for a family-centered activity, why not check out Bethesda Central Farm Market the day before, Saturday, May 12. Chef Matt  Finarelli will hold a Chef Demo and Tasting on Saturday, May 12. Also on May 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Bethesda Central Kids Club will help kids make Mother’s Day Herb Pots: decorative pots with herbs, to take home to Mom. Note that the market has recently changed its location to the parking lot of the Bethesda Elementary School.
On Sunday, May 13, take your mom to The Oval Room. Executive Chef Tony Conte will showcase spring  flavors with a pre fixe three-course Mother’s Day menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. priced at $60 per person or $85 per person with wine pairings (tax and gratuity not included). Guests will delight in dishes such as Fragrant Steamed Salmon, Hawaiian Sweet Shrimp, and Red Beet Ravioli. Reservations recommended.

The Mother’s Day brunch will feature a pre-fixe three-course menu from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., and dinner from 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., for $50 per person (not including tax or gratuity).  Featured brunch items include Vanilla French Toast, Burrata, arugula omelet, and Strip Steak with eggs.
