On the evening of April 20th Washington, DC’s finest attended the 57th Annual Corcoran Ball, hosted by the Corcoran Gallery Board of Trustees and Women’s Committee.
Guests in gorgeous ball gowns and stunning tuxedos arrived to the gallery on Friday night to find an array of costumed performers welcoming them theatrically.
This year, Deborah de Gorter, the 2012 Corcoran Ball Chair, was delighted to welcome many esteemed guests, including Honorary Patron His Excellency François Delattre Ambassador of France and his wife Madame Delattre.
The entire gallery was transformed for the lavish party, allowing guests to not only visit the artwork but dine among it. Each room of the gallery had a different table setting and color scheme, making for a delightful and exciting tour of the event.
Following a magnificent three-course seated dinner, which included Bison and Tuna Tartar, guests were invited to stay for drinks and dancing at upstairs Club Corcoran. They mingled and danced among the works of European masters.
The Annual Corcoran Ball benefits the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Corcoran College of Art and Design’s educational and scholarship programs.
