It’s time to get comfortable for charity in this year’s 9th Annual Blue Jeans Ball. Join the Capital Area Food Bank and Honorary Chair, First Lady Michelle Obama for an exclusive charity and tasting event. Come sample D.C.’s finest cuisine, dance to live bands, and participate in silent and live auctions, all in the comfort of your favorite pair of blue jeans.
This Sunday, April 22nd, one of the top charitable events of the year will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. The rest of the evening is planned out with delectable tastings from various food and restaurant sponsors and of course, the live auction which will be hosted by
Dave and Matthew Quinn from Quinn Auction Galleries. To close out the exciting evening, the night will end in dancing to live music from The Elastic Waste Band.
Proceeds of the evening will go to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank, which is the area’s largest food bank. Last year alone they distributed over 23 million pounds of food to the hungry. In the mist of tough economic times, rising unemployment rates and skyrocketing food prices, it has left 633,000 local area
residents hungry, including an estimated 200,000 children. If you can’t attend the Blue Jean Ball, you can still help make a difference by donating to Capital Area Food Bank.
Sponsor tables and tickets for this comfy charitable event are limited. Click to RSVP or contact Jana Robinson at jrobinson@capitalareafoodbank.org or call 202.526-5344 x 234.
