The Ella Flagg Young Association (EFY Association) and the Chicago Area Women Administrators in Education will be presenting their Annual Spring Benefit, Spring Fashion Rhapsody, which will include a shopping bazaar, fashion show and luncheon. EFY Association grants scholarships to graduating senior girls.
Ella Flagg Young was the first woman superintendent of Chicago from 1909-1915 and the first woman president of the National Education Association in 1910. Her life and work is a compelling look at women’s empowerment in American education. This event will showcase some of Chicago’s up-and-coming designers such as Jermikko, Christos, Yuka Takeda, Mr. & Mrs. Digz, Dalia Acevedo, Michele Keller, and Marena Marena Two Inc.
