Former Paratrooper Elizabeth Grimes Celebrates Silk In The Sky Album Release

Former paratrooper and current pianist Elizabeth Grimes will hold a show in celebration of her new LP on April 18.  She will be playing rag-time twist tunes off of the just released “Silk in the Sky.” The album features girl-empowered songs about love and loss.

What is unique about Elizabeth Grimes is the context in which these emotions are displayed. As a soldier-turned-singer, stories of her military days as a soldier stationed in Fort Bragg, NC are examined in a way that leaves her heart on her sleeve. What a better way to get over your Wednesday Hump Day than with good tunes?

    Nice post! I came from my friends page and she had this linked. I kinda like the soulful of her music. Give more soul though in your voice. Really, really feel it girl and you might just have something there. Oh and no banjos!!!
