Chicago has always been home to legends of comedy, from Tina Fey to Stephen Colbert. Now fans can see new comedy greats this summer at the Just for Laughs Chicago Festival presented by TBS. For one week, the biggest names in comedy will be in town to make their biggest fans laugh.
Some of the A-list comedians in town include Aziz Ansari from “Parks and Recreation,” blue-collar comedy king Bill Engvall, and Billy Gardell from the hit sitcom “Mike and Molly.” Fans looking for more underground, offbeat comedy can catch stand-up shows from Stephen Merchant, (one of the creators of “The Office“), “Daily Show” star John Oliver, or up-and-coming star Amy Schumer.
Chicago comedy fans will get a special treat when native son Vince Vaughn comes home. The “Wedding Crashers” star and producer of the upcoming TBS sitcom “Sullivan and Son” will host a night of stand-up and perform with comedians on the rise. His handpicked comedy bill will showcase the best of upcoming talent and bring his humor back to an adoring hometown crowd. Crowds can enjoy a fun night out hearing adult comedy at the best venues all over Chicago. The fourth annual event promises a lot of laughs and surprises. Attendees can be guaranteed of a great week of entertainment in Chicago. Fans should hurry to get tickets to the biggest comedy festival of the year.
UPDATE: Conan O’ Brien, Sarah Silverman, Steve Byrne, Janeane Garofalo and many other comedians have recently been added to the festival’s lineup.
