Known for its locations on Lexington Avenue and in Grand Central Station, Neuhaus is opening its Flagship location on Madison Avenue (between 52nd and 53rd street). The 1,100 square foot space will not only feature the traditional famous delicacies such as pralines and pastries, but will also feature a “museum” area, which will depict the history of the company and its treats.
Several screens in the museum area will play video of Neuhaus chocolatiers hand-crafting the chocolates using the same techniques and recipes that made the company famous. Known as the inventor of the praline, Neuhaus features over 60 varieties. Although the recipes remain unchanged since being founded in 1857, the company has come a long way.
“Our expansion into a flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York was an important move for our brand,” explains CEO Jos Linkens. “With two existing stores in the city already and one across the river in New Jersey, we have seen positive growth and brand loyalty to Neuhaus over the past few years and this new flagship store should help further that”.
If searching for a gift, fixing a craving, or want to learn a little chocolate history, stop by Neuhaus and pick up some of the world famous treats. You’ll be glad you did.
