The modern epilator is the ultimate body hair removal tool. Think of it as dozens of electrical tweezers in one – mechanically grasping multiple hairs at once and pulling them all out. Epilators work a lot like waxing in that they pull the hairs out from the root, but unlike waxing, epilators do not remove skin cells. I’ll be honest, because hair is removed from the root, the pain factor on this beauty tool can be high depending on the brand, but with regular use you may build a tolerance in no time. You’ve probably tried the funny looking contraption that is the traditional eyelash curler, but have you tried the heated version? It does the same job in less time and may give better, longer lasting results for those of us with straight, downward lashes or in need of a little oomph around the eyes.
