Kristen Kwiatkowski is a freelance writer who enjoys writing about many different subjects. Having previously written for Miss A Annapolis, Kristen is pleased to continue this exciting journey with Miss A Philadelphia. Since she was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, it is wonderful for her to get back to her hometown and discover all of the new aspects of the city as well as enjoy all of the old favorite places and exciting events which the Philadelphia area offers. Kristen has spent many extraordinary years as a military spouse and has had the opportunity to live in many different locales while experiencing the flavor and flair of these different regions. She has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a juris doctorate degree as well so her love for the law is readily apparent. However, Kristen enjoys writing on subject matter in addition to the law including real estate, food and wine, restaurant reviews, cultural events, music and online marketing. Ranging from informative review pieces to creative short stories, writing has become an enjoyable way of life for her and one which she is not soon to leave behind. 2012 Preakness 5K Run To Benefit the Maryland Affiliate Of Susan G. Komen For The Cure

What better way to kick off the Preakness week of festivities than by running/walking to benefit the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure?  On May 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., the track at Pimlico Race Course will be filled with runners dressed in lovely shades of pink running in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Maryland Affiliate in the 2012 Preakness 5K.

Race participants will be given race bibs designed to mimic jockey racing silks which will provide the complete Preakness feel to the event.  In addition to raising money and running/walking for a great cause, participants in the 2012 Preakness 5K will get to enjoy some fun and relaxation after the 5K is done.  Join in the fun with a complimentary beer, special Preakness Black-Eyed Susan drinks for sale and listen to some fantastic live music with your fellow runners.  A unique event premium will also be handed out to each runner who completes the race.

The top winner in both the male and female category will win two premium seat tickets to Turfside Terrace ($300 value/each) for the 2012 Preakness.  All runners can also take advantage of 10% off any regular infield admission ticket to the Preakness Infieldfest.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the largest breast cancer organization which is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.  By raising money for breast cancer research and education, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is fighting the battle one step at a time and making great strides while doing so.
