Recap: Peixoto Swimwear Fashion Show At Nikki Beach

There is nothing that brings friends together like fashion and champagne. Throw in the amazing ambience of Nikki Beach plus a fabulous new swimwear collection by Peixoto and the night is sure to be enchanting. Based in Miami, Florida, Peixoto offers a collection of elegant swim and resort wear for women. I love the line and I’m sure you will too.

By the time we had arrived at Nikki Beach – the hidden jewel of South Beach, located at One Ocean Drive along the beautiful Atlantic Ocean – a large crowd had already gathered around the runway that separates the dining tables and the lounge furniture in the sand. We found a spot near the end of the runway in order to get a solid glimpse of the show to follow.

We sipped on champagne and snapped a few pics before the show, enjoying sounds by MaXx-C, the resident DJ from Nikki Beach St. Barth. Soon the lights beamed and original music for the fashion show composed by JesTone Productions reverberated through the speakers on the beach.

We oohed and awed as each beautiful model graced the runway in Peixoto’s “Such is Life in the Tropics” Spring and Summer 2012 collection.

There were an exciting variety of one-of-a-kind silhouettes in exotic prints and stunning solids. Inspired by the intense passion of the tropics, and the glamour and delicateness of the 1960s lifestyle, CEO and Designer Mauricio Esquenazi pairs bold colors with sophisticated designs to create a subtle yet exotic tropical collection of swimsuits and cover-ups.

I had a chance to catch up with Mauricio and he was thrilled with the turnout at Nikki Beach for the event. “I was so pleased that everyone seemed to be having a really good time,” said Mauricio. “Peixoto continues to build on the idea that swimwear is more than an accessory in today’s fast-paced, fashion forward world.”

I’ll be the first to say that I had a great time with my friends at the fashion show. Each of them raved about the Peixoto collection.
