Luminaire Lab in the Miami Design District
Miami Magazine, a gem of the Modern Luxury Media brand is launching their new Spring Fashion + Home issue in a unique and intriguing fashion – in what they are calling a “Design District Crawl.” The Miami Design District provides a perfect backdrop for this event.
Kick off the night at Luminaire Lab, a sprawling 7,500 square foot space that “deviates from the traditional showroom to serve as an investigative playground that juxtaposes the most innovative modern and contemporary design.”

Look out for the highlight of the evening – a display from photographer David Siqueiros. David describes his creative position as “an expressionist who uses the traditional photographic medium and the latest in digital technology” to convey his images. His preferred photographic medium is black and white which he feels takes the viewer out of the realm of reality. In his pop art expressions, he enjoys the same effect as it allows the viewer to focus on the image itself. David feels that fine art black and white photography is pop art in its purest form.
This unique design crawl promises to be an interesting evening full of twists and a few surprises. You are encouraged to bring your smart phone which will serve as your compass and guide you to each destination through QR codes. Of course there will be cocktails and bites along the way.
