Thursday Nights At The Liberty Hotel In Boston’s Beacon Hill

Mix high fashion and a luxury hotel under one roof and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a fashion lovers dream! Located in Boston’s historic Beacon Hill The Liberty Hotel, which was once the Charles Street Jailhouse, is now home to one of the cities most popular weekly fashion events. The “Fashionably Late” series is not your ordinary Thursday night fashion show. When the clock strikes 10, the lights dim, the music blares and the models showcase a local boutique or local designer’s latest collection.

Do not expect to see the models perform their usual serious catwalk, on top of a traditional style runway; actually there’s really no runway at all! These models take advantage of the entire hotel setting, by first roaming the 3rd floor of the hotel, stopping at each floor to ceiling window and then eventually making their way up the escalator and into the lobby. Once there, they somehow manage to balance and pose on several high platforms, while still looking absolutely flawless!

On Thursday March 8th, Boston based designer Emily Muller debuted pieces from her fall/winter 2012 collection for the fashionably late crowd to admire. The guests applauded her unique and beautiful designs while they mingled and sipped on some fancy cocktails.  Muller’s designs are very feminine and full lots of layers, belts and earthy tones. Her edgy but still elegant style is inspired by the first half of the 20thcentury, which is clearly stated in the natural texture of the fabric she uses, as well as her vintage silhouettes.
