Broward Pulse and Andre Johnson To Host Red Party In Fort LauderdaleTo Benefit American Heart Association

Strut your stuff on the red carpet for the annual Pulse Red Party and you better make sure to wear red – all to benefit the American Heart Association.

Broward PULSE, the American Heart Association’s young professionals chapter, is looking to raise $100,000 at their annual Pulse Red Party on March 1, 2012 at the Westin Sky Terrace in Fort Lauderdale.

Celebrity sponsor and NFL football star, Andre Johnson, will also be hosting the event. Guests will be treated to open bar sponsored by Stoli Vodka, passed hors d’oeuvres, a silent and live auction, and music provided by a live band and DJ.

South Florida socialite Romina Sifuentes is a Pulse Co-Chair and the group’s top fundraiser. Romina said that she “has been humbled by the generosity of our community. The fact that so many people have donated to this cause shows how important it is to raise awareness of heart health.”

“This event is a culmination of almost a year of preparation and fundraising, and we are thrilled to present an event that reflects the collaborative efforts of 25 young professionals that truly care about this cause,” said Sara Shake, Pulse Co-Chair and public relations guru for Exposed PR. ”It’s going to be a great night.”

The Broward Pulse campaign started with a kick-off netting $15,000 towards their goal at Jet Runway Café, hosted by Silver Lining In Flight Catering. Since then, the group has worked diligently to spread awareness of their cause through community outreach events like their Heart Healthy Day of Play at Funderdome, where 172 kids and parents received a CPR Demo from One Beat CPR and learned about staying active and healthy.
