Rachael Victoria Chandler graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Corporate Communications. After working in sales and then teaching for several years, she realized she wanted to take a new approach to life. She is now focusing on some of her evolving passions: real estate, writing, cooking and anything and everything outdoors! She has lived in Austin for over 10 years and loves it here. Rachael feels Austin offers such a wonderful variety of fashion, shopping, dining, and fabulous outdoor activities. Rachael enjoys keeping up with the latest fashions, fine dining and getting pampered at many of Austin’s unique boutique salons. There is another side to Rachael as well: she is a nature lover! Rachael enjoys riding her horses, hawking with Red Tail Hawks, hiking, exploring and she plans on practicing taxidermy at some point in the future. Rachael is Realtor for ERA Colonial Real Estate and loves to help her customers with any real estate need specializing in listings. Rachael gives back by donating every year to a no kill animal shelter: Austin Pets Alive. Les Amis De Hospice Austin Gala 2012

Hospice Austin is a non-profit organization and one of the oldest and largest hospice programs in Central Texas providing family-centered, quality end-of-life care that emphasizes compassion, dignity, independence and respect. Hospice Austin offers a full range of health care services, spiritual and emotional support, social work and personal care for terminally ill and bereaved people in our community. Hospice Austin also offers services designed to support family members suffering from grief and distress.

 

This is the 30th annual Hospice Austin Gala and will be celebrated with Les Amis De Hospice Austin Gala and Presentation of the 2012 Senior Class. The gala will be enjoyed and celebrated at the Hilton Austin Hotel and will surely be a night to remember for the entire family.

Beginning at 6 p.m. family photos will be taken of you and your family to enjoy as a priceless treasure for years to come. A silent auction including $500 gift cards to high-end, local businesses such as Capra & Cavelli and Russell Korman, box seats to a Texas Rangers game and a seven-night vacation getaway to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, plus lots more! Guests will enjoy and sip handmade cocktails while viewing the auction items and congregating.

 

At 7 p.m. the 2012 Senior Class presentation will begin and then at 8 p.m. a plated  three-course dinner will be served including goat cheese and pecan salad, succulent rosemary chicken breast and a decadent dessert. To top the night off just right, following dinner one can dance to the music of D.J. Carlos Martinez through David Perkoff Music.
