Casa Of Travis County Presents CASAblanca Gala And Casino Night At Hyatt Regency Austin

One of the greatest gifts of love is giving back to the community, especially when it is to those who have not been given enough. CASA of Travis County and its volunteers give year round. On February 11th, at CASAblanca, you too can support abused and neglected children and also have a fantastically fun time. CASA works every day to support these children who have not been given a fair chance. In addition to the staff, they have a network of volunteers, each assigned to an individual child or family. They work side-by-side with social workers and other organization always with helping the child as priority one. Their 550 volunteers each give 20 volunteer hours per month, sometimes staying with the same child for years as their case is drawn out in court.

CASAblanca is more than just a gala, it is also a Casino Night with games and tables starting at 6 p.m. In addition, they will have both live and silent auctions, a cocktail hour and Valentine’s surprises. Some of the most spectacular items include an acoustic guitar signed by Bruce Springstein, a 5,000 dollar jewelry shopping spree in Dallas and four nights at Hotel Punta Islitain Costa Rica.

This year, the gala will honor Gigi Edwards Bryant, a former foster youth herself, who strives for children now in the foster system. “It only takes one adult who believes in a child to make all the difference in that child’s life.” says Laura Wolf, Executive Director at CASA of Travis County.
