I’m sure we’ve all been asked, “What’s your favorite color?”. With so many colors, the answers can vary depending which person is asked. On, Sunday February 19th 2012, the national fun run, The Color Run, comes to Dallas and you will get an opportunity to show the answer to that question, based on how many miles you’d like to run or walk, solo or with a team of four or more. The Dallas Edition of this color bright event will benefit the American Heart Association and is scheduled be held in Dallas’ own, Fair Park.

In a twist on the run-for-a-cause theme, each participant will show up with a white shirt at the starting line. Then, based upon how many miles you go, you will determine the amount of colors your shirt will show. For example, if you run/walk 1K, then you will end up with a yellow shirt. 2K then you will end up a yellow and green shirt; 3K, it will be a yellow, green and blue shirt and so on. So whether you want to have one color on your shirt at the end, or look like a walking Skittles bag — the choice is completely up to you! For those who don’t wish to be included in the array of color fun, simply choose the option to run/walk without being splashed with color.

So, go grab the family and snag a group of friends and come join in on the fun while helping out the American Heart Association.

Unfortunately, I do not know of anyone that is currently trying to sell their ticket(s) for this. I also got in touch with Color Run today and they told me they are at capacity, but should they get approval to add more runners they will post this on their website as well as their facebook page. If I hear of anyone who wants to sell their ticket I will let you know.
